“You also are my witnesses, because you have been with me.”
                                                                           - John 15:27

What is RENEW Toronto?

RENEW Toronto is the Office of Catholic Youth’s largest gathering of young adults from the Archdiocese of Toronto and beyond. This year, on Christ the King weekend (Nov. 21 to 23), more than 600 young adults ages 18 to 39 will gather to deepen their Catholic faith through keynotes, breakout sessions, praise and worship, Mass, Confession, Eucharistic Adoration and fellowship. Attendees will leave the conference with renewed hearts – eager to be more involved in their faith and make a difference in the Catholic community. This year, speakers will build on the theme, “You also are my witnesses, because you have been with me,” from John 15:27, encouraging young people to renew their courage and hope as witnesses to Christ amid a secular world.

Event Highlights: Keynotes, Mass and Adoration

Alongside Mass and Adoration, Heather Khym, Assistant Director of Evangelization at Franciscan University, will be this year’s keynote speaker; Fr. Larry Richards will serve as priest lead, Lisa Canning as emcee and Joe Zambon as the lead of the worship team. RENEW Toronto will also feature the following workshop speakers; Sr. Hae-Jin Lim; Ruth D’Souza; Steve & Liz Rebello and Fr. Matt McCarthy.

The Impact of RENEW Toronto

It’s more than just a conference; it's a chance to reconnect with your faith, make new friends and renew your hope in the Lord. Connections made and the experiences shared during this event often leave a lasting impression, especially on those who return year after year.

“This is my fourth RENEW and what keeps me coming back is that there's a special joy in being able to share the love of Christ with all of these other young adults,” says Michael, a past participant. “There's a uniqueness to the way that we exude the joy and it's always evident in the way we worship and celebrate Christ. It's nice to be part of a community where you feel like you belong.”

Schedule and Venue Information

On Day 1 and 2, the conference will be hosted at Canada Event Centre (300 Water St., Whitby). On Day 3, all are invited to join us for a special young adult mass at St. Michael's Cathedral Basilica celebrated by Cardinal Leo.
