1st Reconciliation and Communion Registration

The process for the preparation of these sacraments begins with coming to Mass on Saturday at 5 pm or Sunday at 9am, 11am or 4pm and requesting the First Communion Registration Form from Fr. Frank or Angela. The welcoming team or visiting priests do not have the registration forms. Please read and complete the forms and return it the following Saturday or Sunday when you are at Mass. Registration open in October and will close the first week of December 2025.

Why are we asking you to pick up the this form on the weekend? Participation in Sunday Mass is a central expression of our Catholic way of life. Of course, it is not the only expression, but it is central to living the Catholic faith and is intrinsic to preparing a child for this sacrament.

Our First Holy Communion marks the wonderful beginning of sharing at the table of the Lord with the whole Church community. At Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, preparation for First Holy Communion includes preparing the child for the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession). All children in grades 2 and above, homeschooled, or attending a Catholic, public, or private school, are welcome to register with our parish for our next First Holy Communion sacramental preparation program starting in January 2026. You will be required to submit a copy of your child's Baptismal Certificate. If you do not have a copy, please contact the parish where your child was baptized. This parish will be able to give you a copy of the certificate.

If your child has not been baptized, please speak to Angela or Fr. Frank as this is a prerequisite before receiving communion.

If you have any questions, please contact the church at (416) 489-1540 or e-mail olphtoronto@archtoronto.org . Please note that when registration begins, packages will need to be picked up from Fr. Frank McDevitt or Angela at one of the Sunday Masses. They will not be available online or in the office.
